Indiana Journal of Law & Social Equality

For Authors

Submit Manuscript

The Indiana Journal of Law & Social Equality will begin accepting submissions for Volume 14 on March 1, 2025. We accept unsolicited publications via Scholastica, and all submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Submissions to our journal should be word processed and double-spaced. Citations should be in footnote form and in compliance with The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st ed. 2020). Grammar and usage should be made in compliance with The Chicago Manual of Style (17th ed. 2017).

Due to recent Bluebook changes, we will work with authors to ensure compliance with the new 21st edition. Please let us know if you would like this assistance, or if you have already complied with the 21st edition.

IJLSE encourages authors to include a curriculum vitae with their submission. Our journal is also willing to consider submissions from current JD students at accredited universities. We do not accept unsolicited submissions outside of Scholastica, but we are willing to answer any questions and discuss a manuscript before an author chooses to submit to our journal.

For any questions about article submissions, please contact Lucy Gerstenschlager, Editor-in-Chief, at ijlse@iu.edu or Nicholle Vandy, Executive Articles Editor, at ijlseae@iu.edu.
